Prerequisites

  • Windows 10 or Windows 11 (64-bit)
  • An active internet connection
  • A SIP account from your VoIP provider (server address, username, and password)
1

Download SipLine

Visit the SipLine download page and click the download button to get the latest installer. The file is a standard Windows .exe installer, approximately 106 MB.
Make sure you download SipLine from the official website to ensure you get a genuine, unmodified copy.
2

Run the Installer

Double-click the downloaded SipLineSetup.exe file. If Windows SmartScreen appears, click More info then Run anyway — the installer is digitally signed. Follow the installation wizard, choosing your preferred installation directory.
The default installation path is C:\Program Files\SipLine. You can change it if needed.
3

Launch SipLine for the First Time

After installation, SipLine will launch automatically. You will be greeted by the main interface with an empty account list. The application runs in the system tray by default, so look for the SipLine icon near your clock if the window does not appear.
4

Configure Your SIP Account

Go to Settings > SIP Accounts and click Add Account. Enter the SIP server address provided by your VoIP provider, your SIP username, and your password. Click Save — SipLine will attempt to register with the server.
If your provider requires a specific port or transport protocol (UDP, TCP, or TLS), configure these in the advanced settings of the account.
5

Make Your First Test Call

Once the account status shows Registered, you are ready to make calls. Type a phone number or SIP address in the dial pad and press the call button. Verify that you can hear audio in both directions.
Many providers offer an echo test number. Try calling it first to confirm your audio is working properly.

Frequently Asked Questions

What are the minimum system requirements?

SipLine requires Windows 10 or Windows 11 (64-bit), at least 100 MB of free disk space, and 2 GB of RAM. Any modern processor will work. A stable internet connection with at least 100 kbps upload and download is needed for calls.

Can I perform a silent (unattended) installation?

Yes. Run the installer from the command line with the /S flag: SipLineSetup.exe /S. This is useful for IT administrators deploying SipLine across multiple workstations.

Is there a portable version of SipLine?

Currently, SipLine is only available as an installable application. A portable version is not offered at this time. The installer is lightweight and does not require administrator privileges for per-user installation.

How do I uninstall SipLine?

Open Windows Settings > Apps > Installed apps, find SipLine in the list, and click Uninstall. Alternatively, run the uninstaller from the SipLine installation folder. Your configuration files will be removed unless you chose to keep them.
